Ali Ejaz (21 October 1942 – 18 December 2018) was a Pakistani film and television actor known for his film roles in ''FBI Operation Pakistan'' (1971), ''Sona Chandi'' (1983), and ''Chor Machaye Shor'' (1996). He was given the Pride of Performance Award in 1993 by the President of Pakistan. Early life and career Ejaz was born in 1942 in Qila Gujar Singh, Lahore, British India. Masood Rana ( ur, , 6 August 1941 – 4 October 1995) was a Pakistani film playback singer. He began his singing career in 1962 with the film ''Inqalab'', became one of the top male singers in both Urdu and Punjabi films for more than three decades and remained a busy singer until his death in 1995. Rana still holds the record of singing more than 300 film songs in each of the two languages - Urdu and Punjabi, an all-time record shared with Ahmed Rushdi and Noor Jehan. Ahmed Rushdi, SI, PP ( ur, ; 24 April 1934 – 11 April 1983) was a versatile Pakistani playback singer and was "an important contributor to the golden age of Pakistani film music." Regarded as one of the greatest singers in South Asia who could sing high tenor notes with ease, he is best known for his versatility and distinctive voice, with complex and dark emotional expressions. Bashir Ahmad (9 April 1926 – 19 March 1991), known as Hazin Qadri, was a Punjabi film song lyricist and film screenwriter from Pakistan. Early life Qadri was born Bashir Ahmad in a small village 'Raja Tamoli' near Gujranwala, British India on 9 April 1926. He could not complete his education beyond the elementary or primary school due to poverty. As a young man, he was eager to get an opportunity to try his luck in the then newly established Pakistani film industry after 1947. After two years of struggle, he was given a chance to write his first film song by the veteran film producer and director Anwar Kamal Pasha for his upcoming film Do Ansoo (1950).
