Aiyepe Olode is a town in Osun State, Nigeria, located on the road between Ondo and Ife. Etymology Aiyepe Olode derives from the world "Hunters-Garage". History Aiyepe Olode was built during the reign of Ademiluyi Ajagun Ademiluyi Ajagun was the 48th List of rulers of Ife, Ooni of Ife, a paramount traditional king of Ifẹ, Ile-Ife, the ancestral home of the Yoruba people, Yorubas. He was one of the most feared kings and was highly respected in Africa and around ... (1910—1930). The settlement was established by Ajani Anibijuwon Omisore as a way to link the wilderness to other parts of Ife. Omisore made the hunters sign an agreement to pay royalties to him. The settlement grew in fame as Ife elites came in and joined Omisore, with each getting a partition of the wilderness. Ondo City
Ondo Town is the second largest town in Ondo State, Nigeria. Ondo Town is the trade center for the surrounding region; commercial crops such as yams, cassava, grain, tobacco and cotton are grown, the latter of which is often used to weave a culturally significant cloth known as Aso Oke fabric, which is commonly used to make clothing amongst the local population. Ademiluyi Ajagun was the 48th List of rulers of Ife, Ooni of Ife, a paramount traditional king of Ifẹ, Ile-Ife, the ancestral home of the Yoruba people, Yorubas. Ajani Anibijuwon Omisore
Lowa Ajani Anibijuwon Omisore (c. 1841 – 18 March 1941) was a Yoruba aristocratic chief in Ife, British Nigeria who founded the town of Ayepe-Olode and founded the Omisore dynasty. He was granted the title of Lowa by Ooni (King) Adelekan Olubuse I of Ife, making him second-in-command to the Ooni. He subsequently served as a regent and a kingmaker in Ife, crowning Ademiluyi Ajagun and Adesoji Aderemi as Ooni. He led and managed the construction of Ife's major road networks under the wishes of Ooni Ajagun and later founded the town of Ayepe-Olode, which he transformed from a desolate jungle that was previously used by animal hunters.
