Gujarat, a state of India, has airports which have access to international flights, domestic and some disused airstrips for emergency purposes. The airports are operated and owned by either the Airports Authority of India, Indian Air Force, Government of Gujarat or private companies. There are three international airports, nine domestic airports, two private airports and three military bases in Gujarat. Two more airports are under construction. There are three disused airports, one of them serving as a flying school. Dahod
Dahod is a city on the banks of the Dudhimati River in Dahod District in the State of Gujarat, India. It is said that it has taken its name from Saint Dadhichi, who had an Ashram on the bank of Dudhumati river. This city is known for being the birthplace of 6th Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, son of 5th Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. The city serves as District Headquarters for Dahod District. Dahej
Dahej is a cargo port situated on the South-west coast of Gujarat, India in Bharuch district. There is 17.5 million tonnes per year capacity LNG terminal operated by Petronet in Dahej. Port Information General The Port of Dahej is located in the Gulf of Cambay, at the junction of Guljaria and Ban Creek. It is a natural deep water port accommodating vessels of draft up to 25m. It is about 45 kilometers from Bharuch, which is now being connected to the Port of Dahej by a broad-gauge rail siding with an initial capacity of 25-30 rakes a day. Bhuj Airport
Bhuj Airport is a domestic airport and an Indian Air Force base located in Bhuj in the Kutch District of the state of Gujarat, India. It is located 4 km from the city centre. It is situated at an altitude of , and occupies a total area of . It is located from the Indo-Pakistan border. The airport was previously made up of two bunkers/buildings near the Bhuj Rudra Mata Air Force Base, with which it shares the runway. Bhuj () is a city and the headquarters of Kutch district in the Indian state of Gujarat. Etymology According to legend, Kutch (Kachchh) was ruled by the Nāga chieftains in the past. Bharuch - Ankleshwar Airport is a greenfield airport being constructed at village Mandvabuzarg on National Highway 8 near Ankleshwar, Gujarat, India. The Airports Authority of India has cleared the techno-economic feasibility report for the proposed airfield and was expected to be operational by December 2026. The Gujarat State Aviation Infrastructure Company Limited has acquired 80 hectares of land for the construction of the airport.
