Airport MRT
Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport MRT (Mass Rapid Transit), commonly known as the Airport MRT, is a rapid transit line of the Taoyuan Metro that connects Taipei, Taoyuan and New Taipei with Taoyuan International Airport in northern Taiwan. The line has 22 stations, from Taipei Main Station to , and began commercial service on 2 March 2017. Commuter and Express services operate on the line, which features in-town check-in and baggage check at Taipei Main Station and at . An extension to Zhongli railway station via from the current terminus at is under construction. The Laojie River metro station opened in July 2023 and the full extension is scheduled for completion in 2028. The Taoyuan Metro (formerly Taoyuan Rail Transit and officially Taoyuan Mass Rapid Transit System) is a rapid transit system serving Taoyuan City, as well as parts of New Taipei City and Taipei, Taipei City, in Taiwan. The most recently proposed network includes 11 lines and extensions, of which 2 are now under construction. Guishan District () is a District (Taiwan), district in northeastern Taoyuan City, Taiwan. History Guishan was formerly known as ''Kulunsia'' ( (Ku-lun-siā)). The name originated from a hill by the Mercy Buddha Temple of Shou Shan Rock, built in the 7th year of the Qianlong Emperor, Qianlong Period of the Qing Dynasty. Sanchong District
Sanchong District () is a district in the western part of New Taipei City, Taiwan. With an area of 16.32 km2 and a population of 380,699 people (February 2023), it has the fourth highest population density in Taiwan and 23rd highest in the world, with over 23,900 people per km2. Laojie River () is a station on the Taoyuan Airport MRT located in Zhongli District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. The station opened for commercial service in July 2023. Overview This underground station will have one island platform with two tracks, and will only be served by the all-stops Commuter services. Zhongli Railway Station
Zhongli () is a railway station in Taoyuan, Taiwan served by Taiwan Railways Administration. It is the third-busiest station in Taiwan's rail network. It is also a planned terminus for Taoyuan Airport MRT of the Taoyuan Metro, scheduled for completion in 2028. This station is currently at ground level and construction is ongoing to replace it underground as a part of Taoyuan Metropolitan Area Railway Underground Project which is scheduled to be completed in September 2030. A proposed cross-platform interchange project for Green line and Airport MRT is set to be constructed under Zhongli Station. The station layout will be composed of two island platform, between which a connecting zone set to integrated the two into a single "large platform". Taipei Main Station is the eastern terminus of the Taoyuan Airport MRT in Zhongzheng District, Taipei, Taiwan. Located roughly west of Taipei railway station and east of Beimen metro station, the station is connected to the Taipei railway station through a long underground walkway, and to Beimen station through another underground walkway.
