The Ainu Party () is a moderate 'nationalist' (民族主義, ''minzokushugi'') regional political party active in Hokkaido. This is a regional party that defends the interests of the Ainu people. The Ainu languages ( ), sometimes known as Ainuic, are a small language family, often regarded as a language isolate, historically spoken by the Ainu people of northern Japan and neighboring islands, and formerly in parts of the Asian mainland, including the southern part of the Kamchatka Peninsula.
