Aina Calvo
Aina Calvo i Sastre (born in 1969), is a Spanish academic and politician, former Mayoress of Palma de Mallorca and current Delegate of the Government in the Balearic Islands since February 2020. She also served as Director of Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation, from 2018 to 2020. Born in Palma de Mallorca, in 1969, she resided in Zaragoza for family work purposes until 1983, when she returned to Palma. She studied at Glasgow first as a graduate student with an Erasmus scholarship and, later, as a professor at the University of Strathclyde. Is a Doctor of Pedagogy and professor of the Department of Educational Sciences of the University of the Balearic Islands in a situation of special services and visiting professor at the University of Edinburgh. In 2003 joined the PSIB-PSOE, being elected as a member of the Parliament of the Balearic Islands. The Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) ( es, link=no, Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo) is a Spanish autonomous agency responsible for the management of the Government international development cooperation policy. Alfredo Pérez Rubalcaba (; 28 July 1951 – 10 May 2019) was a Spanish statesman, politician and chemist who served as Deputy Prime Minister of Spain from 2010 to 2011, and previously as Minister of Education from 1992 to 1993, as Minister of the Presidency from 1993 to 1996, as Minister of the Interior from 2006 to 2011 and as acting Minister of Defence between May and June 2008. Carme Maria Chacón Piqueras (; March 13, 1971April 9, 2017) was a Spanish lawyer, lecturer and politician who was minister of Defence from 2008 to 2011 in the cabinet led by Spanish Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. The 2011 Spanish local elections were held on Sunday, 22 May 2011, to elect all 68,230 councillors in the 8,116 municipalities of Spain and all 1,040 seats in 38 provincial deputations. The elections were held simultaneously with regional elections in thirteen autonomous communities, as well as local elections in the three foral deputations of the Basque Country and the eleven island councils in the Balearic and Canary Islands.
