Ain Khaled
Ain Khaled () is a Qatar, Qatari district in the municipality of Al Rayyan. Located on the outskirts of the capital Doha, the area is historically known for its well which served the people of Doha and neighboring villages. Etymology The first word in the district's name, "Ain", is an Arabic language, Arabic word reserved for natural underground water sources. Formerly, the district was known as "Ain Al Seneem", with "Al Seneem" being the name of a local well. However, the district's name was later changed to "Ain Khaled", in honor of a respected local who went by that name. Qatar
Qatar, officially the State of Qatar, is a country in West Asia. It occupies the Geography of Qatar, Qatar Peninsula on the northeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula in the Middle East; it shares Qatar–Saudi Arabia border, its sole land border with Saudi Arabia to the south, with the rest of its territory surrounded by the Persian Gulf. Municipalities Of Qatar
Since 2015, Qatar has been divided into eight Municipality, municipalities. In 2004, a new municipality, Al Daayen, was created under Resolution No. 13, formed from parts of Umm Salal and Al Khawr; at the same time, Al Ghuwariyah was merged with Al Khawr; Al Jumaliyah was merged with Ar Rayyan; Jarayan al Batnah was split between Al Rayyan and Al Wakrah; and Mesaieed was merged with Al Wakrah. Al Rayyan (; also spelled ''Ar Rayyan'') is the third-largest municipalities of Qatar, municipality in Qatar. In the administrative divisions of Qatar, zones ( ''manāṭiq''; singular ''minṭaqa'') are the second-highest level of government after municipalities. As of the 2015 census, there were 98 zones across the country. However, several of these zones are not currently in use. Over the years, numerous changes in zones have taken place.
