Aidan Fitzpatrick
Aidan Fitzpatrick (born 20 March 2001) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a winger for Partick Thistle and has previously played for Norwich City and Queen of the South. Club career Partick Thistle (first spell) From Partick in Glasgow, Fitzpatrick started playing football at St Peters Primary School. He was recommended to Partick Thistle and progressed through the club's youth system. Fitzpatrick debuted for the first-team versus Albion Rovers in the 2018–19 Scottish League Cup in July 2018, coming on as a substitute and scoring a goal in the 2–0 win. He was the first player born in the 21st century to play for Partick Thistle. On his first starting appearance versus Stranraer in the 2018–19 Scottish Challenge Cup, Fitzpatrick scored two goals and had an assist in a 5–0 victory, winning an ''Irn-Bru Golden Balls'' award. 2019–20 EFL Trophy
The 2019–20 EFL Trophy, known as the Leasing.com Trophy for sponsorship reasons, was the 37th season in the history of the competition, a knock-out tournament for English football clubs in League One and League Two of the English football system, and also including 16 Premier League and Championship " Academy teams" with Category One status. Due to their financial crisis, Bury were expelled from the EFL and automatically eliminated from the competition as well. Portsmouth were the defending champions, and reached the final once again. 2019–20 Professional U23 Development League
The 2019–20 Professional U23 Development League was the eighth season of the Professional Development League system. The competition was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic after group stage matches on 12 March 2020, and was originally to restart in June 2020. However, the season was eventually cancelled on 1 May 2020. The league was decided on a points-per-game system in August 2020 with Chelsea winning the Division 1 title and Wolverhampton Wanderers being relegated. In Division 2, West Ham United and Manchester United were promoted with no promotion play-offs being played. The 2017–18 Scottish Challenge Cup, known as the IRN-BRU Cup due to sponsorship reasons, is the 27th season of the competition. The tournament took on a similar format from the previous season, however, two teams from the Republic of Ireland's Airtricity League (Sligo Rovers and Bray Wanderers) entered the competition for the first time taking the total number of participating clubs to 56. 2017–18 SPFL Development League
The 2017–18 SPFL Development League was the 20th season of the highest youth Scottish football league and the fourth season under the "Development League" format. It began on 21 August 2017, and concluded on 7 May 2018. Changes For the 2017–18 season of the Development League, three teams chose to withdraw from the competition. Dunfermline Athletic announced in May 2017 that due to the proposals made under 'Project Brave', which would see the implementation of a reserve league from the 2018–19 to replace the Development League, the club would not participate in the final year of the competition. The Scottish League Cup (also known as the Viaplay Cup for sponsorship reasons) is a football competition open to all Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) clubs. First held in 1946–47, it is the oldest national League Cup in existence. The competition had a straight knockout format but became a group and knockout competition from 2016–17.
