Ahn Sang-soo (Changwon Mayor)
Ahn Sang-soo (; born February 9, 1946, in Changwon) is a South Korean politician. He was chairman of the Grand National Party, the precursor to the Saenuri Party. He was the Mayor of Changwon from 2014 to 2018. He hopes to improve that city's bicycle-sharing plan. Controversies He mistook thermos flasks as North Korean artillery shells in a bombed-out house afflicted after the Bombardment of Yeonpyeong The Bombardment of Yeonpyeongdo () was an artillery engagement between the North Korean military and South Korean forces stationed on the island Yeonpyeongdo on 23 November 2010. Changwon
Changwon (; ) is the capital and largest city of South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea (with a population of 1,025,702 ), and the 11th largest city of the South Korea, country. A port city, Changwon is bordered by Masan Bay to the south, and the cities of Busan and Gimhae to the east. The city of Miryang lies to the northeast, and Jinju to the west.
