Ahmed Ismail Abdi
Ahmed Ismail Abdi () is an initial member of Somali National Movement (SNM). His nickname is Duqsi (Dukhsi, Dokisi, Dukhsi.) He is from the Habr Je'lo branch of the Isaaq clan. Biography Duqsi was a member of the Somaliland National League (SNL), a national political party that existed before Somaliland's independence in 1960. Although the Somaliland National League was based in Burao, it was a national party with bases throughout the mainly Isaaq clan settlements in the former British Somaliland. Somali Republic In April 1964, Duqsi became a member of the Somali Parliament representing Burao. In March 1966 he was appointed minister of state for planning. In August 1966, he was appointed chairman of the Committee on Foreign Investments in addition to the minister of state for planning. Somali National Movement
The Somali National Movement (, ) was one of the first and most important Guerrilla warfare, organized guerilla groups and Mujahideen groups that opposed the Siad Barre regime in the 1980s to the 1990s, as well as being the main anti-government faction during the Somaliland War of Independence. Hassan Adan Wadadid
Hassan Adan Wadadid was a Somali politician and diplomat. He was the Somali Republic ambassador to Saudi Arabia and Pakistan during the 60s. He was one of the founders of the Somali National Movement and served as the movement's first Vice-Chairman. Hassan belonged to the Habr Yunis Garhajis clan. Career Hassan was dually accredited to serve as Somalia's ambassador of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan during the 60s. After the 1969 coup, like many of the countries diplomats and politicians, he was given a lengthy prison sentence by the MilitaryJunta that took over the country after the assassination of Abdirashid Shermarke. Ahmed Mohamed Gulaid (; 16 June 1930 – 21 December 1992), also known as the Ahmed Jimaleh, was a Somali politician and the first chairman of Somali National Movement (SNM). Habr Awal
The Habr Awal, alternately known as the Zubeyr Awal (, , Full Name: '' Abd al-Raḥmān ibn ash-Ishaaq bin Ahmed, Shaykh Isḥāq ibn Aḥmad)'' is one of the largest subclans of the wider Isaaq clan family, and is further divided into eight sub-clans of whom the two largest and most prominent are the Issa Musa and Sa'ad Musa sub-clans. Its members form a part of the Habar Magadle confederation. The Habr Awal traditionally consists of Nomadic pastoralism, nomadic pastoralists, coastal people, merchants and farmers. They are historically viewed as an affluent clan in the horn Africa that played a huge part for Somaliland's independence. The Habar Yoonis (, full Nasab: '' Said ibn Al-Qādhī Ismā'īl ibn ash-Shaykh Isḥāq ibn Aḥmad'') alternatively spelled as Habr Yunis is a major clan part of the Garhajis . As descendants of Ismail bin Sheikh Isaaq, its members form a part of the Habar Magaadle confederation which constitutes one of the largest sub-clans of the garhajis. Distribution The Habar Yoonis inhabit Eastern Maroodi Jeex western Togdheer, southern Sahil, northern and western Sool and north,central and western and Eastern Sanaag regions of Somaliland. The Habr Je'lo (), , Full Name: ''Mūsa ibn ash-Shaykh Isḥāq ibn Aḥmad,'' historically known as the Habr Toljaala () is a major Northern Somali clan of the wider Isaaq family. Its members form the Habr Habusheed () confederation along with the Imran, Sanbur and Tolje’lo. The Habr Je'lo are divided into five further sub-tribes: the Mohamed Abokor, Musa Abokor, Samane Abokor, Reer dood and Omar.
