The Brussels Islamic State terror cell was an Islamic terrorist sub-group involved in large-scale terrorist attacks in Paris in November 2015 (130 killed) and Brussels in March 2016 (32 killed). The terror cell was connected to the Islamic State (IS), a jihadist terrorist organisation primarily based in Syria and Iraq. 2015 European Migrant Crisis
The 2015 European migrant crisis was a period of significantly increased movement of refugees and migrants into Europe, mostly from the Middle East. An estimated 1.3 million people came to the continent to request asylum, the most in a single year since World War II.
