Ahli Sidab Club
Ahli Sidab Club ( ar, نادي الاهلي سداب) is an Omani sports club based in Darsait, in the Wilayat of Muttrah, Oman. The club is currently playing in Oman First Division League, second division of Oman Football Association. Their home ground is Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex, but they also recognize the older Royal Oman Police Stadium as their home ground. Both stadiums are government owned, but they also own their own personal stadium and sports equipment, as well as their own training facilities. History Ahli Sidab Club was founded on 18 April 2004 after merging the two locals clubs, Al-Ahli and Sidab. Being a multisport club Although being mainly known for their football, Ahli Sidab Club like many other clubs in Oman, have not only football in their list, but also hockey, volleyball, handball, basketball, badminton and squash. Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex
The Sultan Qaboos Stadium at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex ( ar, مجمع السلطان قابوس الرياضي), also known locally as Boshar ( ar, بوشر), is a government-owned multi-purpose stadium in the Boshar district of Muscat, Oman. It is currently used mostly for football matches, and also has facilities for athletics. The stadium originally had a capacity of over 40,000, but after recent renovations the capacity was reduced to 34,000. It is the home stadium of the Oman national football team. The Qaboos Stadium was used as the main stadium in the 19th Arabian Gulf Cup in 2009, and was also used in the 13th Arabian Gulf Cup competition in 1996. The Complex has strong security, in addition to over 10,000 parking slots. The Sultan Qaboos Cup ( ar, كأس السلطان قابوس), also known as the HM's Cup, is Oman's premier knockout tournament for men's football. It was officially created in 1972 and the champions of that edition were Al-Ahli. Shortly known as Oman cup. Currently the most successful club in the league is Dhofar with a total of ten titles to their name, with the latest win at the 2020-2021 season. Sponsorship On 4 March 2015, Oman's leading financial services provider, BankMuscat agreed to come on board as the Presenting Partner for the 2014–15 Sultan Qaboos Cup.
