Jordi Agustí
Jordi Agustí is a Spanish paleontologist at the ''Instituto de Paleoecología Humana y Evolución Social'' at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili. His research is mainly focused on the evolution of mammal fossils in relation to changing climates in the last 10 million years. He has led investigations in Europe and in North Africa, and he was part of the team that discovered some of the oldest Eurasian hominids in Dmanisi, Georgia. He has published at least half a dozen books on science. Sergi Agustí
Sergi Agustí (born 1967) is a Spanish film director who has made a number of documentaries in African countries including Sierra Leone, Ethiopia and Congo. Sergi Agustí was born in Barcelona in 1967. He worked for many years as a photographer. His documentary work covers social issues, but takes a more optimistic view of Africa than is common with other observers. Agustí's '' One Goal'' tells the story of a group of young amputee war veterans in Sierra Leone who decided to advocate peace and show another way to handle differences. The young men changed their lives for the better and became role models for their communities through their determination to play soccer. The film was a finalist in the LinkTV online film contest in the category of "Overcoming Conflict". Susana Agustí
Susana Agustí Requena is a Spanish biological oceanographer who has participated in over 25 oceanographic expeditions in the Arctic, Southern Ocean (Antarctic), Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans. She played a key role in the Malaspina Circumnavigation Expedition. She is professor in Marine Science at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia and an adjunct Professor at the University of Tromsø (Norway). Early life and education Agusti completed a BSc at the Autonomous University of Madrid in 1982 and a PhD at the same institution in 1989. Career and impact Agusti studies the photosynthetic plankton and the metabolic balance of the oceans, with present goals focused in evaluate the impact of global change in the oceans.
