Agora University
Short history On 10 January 2000, in Oradea was founded the Agora Foundation as a non profit, non governmental, non-political, independent organization, having a humanitarian and non-patrimonial purpose and it was enrolled into the Register of associations and foundations as a private juridical entity. Through the Decision taken by the General Committee of the Founding Members, on 17 March 2000, inside the Foundation was developed a private university and also the calendar of the activities that should have been followed, in order to get the authorization for the institution, and for the first programs of study. By the Decision of thAgency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (Romania) taken on 20 December 2010, the Agora University was accredited with the qualifier "trust“, and the proposal was transmitted to the Romanian Ministry of National Education (Romania). Ioan Dzițac
Ioan Dzițac (14 February 1953 – 6 February 2021) was a Romanian professor (of Ukrainian descent) of mathematics and computer science. He obtained his B.S. and M.Sc. in Mathematics (1977) and PhD in Computer Science (2002) from Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca. He was a professor at the Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad and part of the leadership of Agora University in Oradea until his sudden death in 2021. Education and career Dzițac was born in Poienile de sub Munte, Maramureș County. After attending elementary school in Repedea (1960–1968), he studied at the Dragoș Vodă High School in Sighetu Marmației (1968–1972) and then at the Faculty of Mathematics, Babeș-Bolyai University (1972–1977). In 2002 he obtained his PhD in computer science at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Babeș-Bolyai University with thesis "Methods for parallel and distributed computing in solving operational equations" under the supervision of Grigor Moldovan. The Parliament of Romania ( ro, Parlamentul României) is the national bicameral legislature of Romania, consisting of the Chamber of Deputies ( ro, Camera Deputaților) and the Senate ( ro, Senat). It meets at the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest, the capital of the country. Prior to the modification of the Constitution in 2003, the two houses had identical attributes. A text of a law had to be approved by both houses.
