Aglaia Mortcheva ( bg, Аглая Морчева) (born 1972) is a Bulgarian voice actress and former animator and illustrator, best known for her portrayal of Vendetta on the ''Making Fiends'' web series and on the television series. Mortcheva is also a professor of art and animation at California State University, Northridge. Biography Mortcheva was born and raised in Sofia, Bulgaria. At age six, she started working as a child actress and later became an artist at age fourteen. At age twenty six, she moved to Los Angeles, California, where she currently lives with her husband. They have two children born in 1998 and 2002. She worked on shows such as '' South Park''. The following is a character list of both characters in the web series and the TV series of '' Making Fiends''. Main Vendetta Vendetta is a fictional main character in the web series and TV series of ''Making Fiends''. She is created by Amy Winfrey and voiced by Aglaia Mortcheva, which gives her a Bulgarian accent. She first appeared in the web pilot in 2003. She appeared in all episodes, except in web episode 14, in which she was sick and stayed home from school. Vendetta is Italian for "blood feud", and, true to her name, Vendetta is vindictive and cruel. Role in ''Making Fiends'' She is an evil green girl with a Bulgarian accent and the power to make fiends, both through stereotypical mad-scientist means and in the kitchen. Making Fiends (web Cartoon)
''Making Fiends'' is a Flash cartoon series by Amy Winfrey. It follows the interactions between Vendetta, a villainous tomboy that regularly makes terrible creatures called "fiends", and Charlotte, a cheerful and gullible girly-girl who thinks that Vendetta is her best friend. Charlotte unintentionally irritates and annoys Vendetta. As a result, Vendetta attempts to assassinate her with fiends, but she always fails due to Charlotte's luck. The site was first put up on June 3, 2003, and the series debuted with its first episode on July 14, 2003. In 2004, the series was licensed by Nickelodeon, and eventually the episodes were broadcast on TurboNick. The series would later be uploaded to Amy Winfrey's YouTube page in 2012 in remastered HD quality. A 30-minute animated horror comedy cartoon television series was greenlit in 2008 on Nicktoons Network, which aired only 6 episodes each before being cancelled. ''Making Fiends'' is an American Animation, animated miniseries, television miniseries based on the Making Fiends (web series), web series of the same name. The series ran from October 4, 2008 to November 1, 2008 on Nicktoons (American TV channel), Nicktoons Network. The series is Nickelodeon Animation Studio’s first animated series to be based on a web series, and follows the evil Vendetta (Making Fiends), Vendetta and the new happy but dim-witted girl, Charlotte (Making Fiends), Charlotte, at school in the gloomy town of Clamburg. Vendetta hates Charlotte and tries to destroy her in each and every episode. Amy Winfrey
Amy Winfrey (born May 1976) is an American animator, screenwriter, songwriter, director and voice actress. She is best known for creating the web series ''Making Fiends'' that was later picked up by Nickelodeon in 2008, and for directing several episodes of ''BoJack Horseman'', including " The View From Halfway Down" and " Free Churro", which were each nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program at the 71st and 72nd Primetime Creative Arts Emmys.
