Afida Turner
Afida Turner (born Hafidda Messaï on December 22, 1976) is a French media personality. In 2007, she married musician Ronnie Turner. In 2011, she released the singles ''Come With Me'', followed by ''Born an Angel'', from her studio album ''Paris-Hollywood''. Turner has appeared in small roles in several films. She also starred in the stageplay ''Requiem for une conne'' (2022). In 2022, she released the single ''Étienne''. Biography Afida Turner was born in Auchel, France. Her father was from Algeria and her mother from Réunion. When she was two years old, her father beat her mother to death. She lived with foster families until she was 16. She then worked as a saleswoman in ready-to-wear and was once employed by the Parisian bar-lounge Buddha Bar. In the 1990s, she started a singing career, releasing the song "Crazy About You" in 1998. Auchel (; pcd, Auchez) is a commune in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France region in northern France. Geography An ex-mining town, nowadays a light industrial & farming commune, situated southwest of Béthune and southwest of Lille, at the junction of the D183 and the D183E roads. History Following the discovery of coal deposits in the area in 1851, the town grew as the demand for coal increased in France. This old mining town had close to 15,000 inhabitants in the 1950s. The Yellow Vests Protests or Yellow Jackets Protests or Yellow Vests Revolution (french: Mouvement des gilets jaunes, ) are a series of Populism, populist, grassroots weekly protests in France that began on 17 November 2018. At first the protestors advocated Justice, economic justice; later they called for institutional Reform, political reforms. After an online petition posted in May 2018 had attracted nearly 1 million signatures, mass demonstrations began on 17 November. The movement was initially motivated by rising crude oil and fuel prices, a high cost of living, and economic inequality. The movement argued that a disproportionate burden of taxation in France was falling on the working and middle classes, especially in rural and Peri-urbanisation, peri-urban areas. "Shut Up" is a song recorded by American hip-hop group the Black Eyed Peas for their third studio album '' Elephunk'' (2003). ' (TPMP), literally "Don't Touch My TV Set!", is a French live television talk show. It is broadcast on C8 and produced by Productions. The show, hosted by Cyril Hanouna, deals with media news; it is broadcast from Monday to Friday at 8:30 p.m. History Hanouna created " Productions" in March 2010 to produce his own TV program. In 2010 he created the talk show "TPMP" which was first broadcast on France 4. In May 2012, ''Touche pas à mon poste!'' was transferred to the new channel, D8.
