''Affliction'' is the first official full-length album by the industrial alternative rock band Econoline Crush. The Canadian release occurred in 1995 by EMI Music Canada and the American release occurred in 1996 by Nettwerk Records. Background After Econoline Crush released the EP ''Purge'' in 1994, the band went on tour and started work on a proper full-length album. At that point, the lineup consisted of founding members vocalist Trevor Hurst, guitarist Robbie Morfitt, and bassist Dan Yaremko, in addition to drummer Gregg Leask and guitarist Hack (who both joined prior to the recording of ''Purge''), plus keyboardist Chris Bryant (who joined after the recording of ''Purge''). While recording ''Affliction'', both Hack and Bryant departed from the band, although Bryant contributed songwriting to multiple tracks. Econoline Crush is a Canadian rock band from Vancouver, British Columbia, formed in 1992. They have released five studio albums and three studio EPs, and are best known for their charting singles such as " You Don't Know What It's Like", "Home", "Surefire (Never Enough)", " All That You Are (X3)", "Make It Right", and "Dirty". Moev is an electronic band based in Vancouver, British Columbia that recorded on Atlantic Records, Nettwerk Records, Go! Records and Cop International. History Moev was formed in 1981 by Tom Ferris and Cal Stephenson. The band released an EP in 1982, and later that year the electro/techno pop album ''Zimmerkampf''. In an interview with Dean Russell at Lee's Palace back in the early 80's he explained what the name of the band meant. Robert Carl Ludwig (born December 11, 1944), is a retired American mastering engineer. He mastered recordings on all the major recording formats for all the major record labels, and on projects by more than 1,300 artists, including Led Zeppelin, Lou Reed, Metallica, Queen, Jimi Hendrix, Bryan Ferry, Paul McCartney, Nirvana, Bruce Springsteen, Tool and Daft Punk, with more than 3,000 credits. He is the recipient of 13 Grammy and other awards. In 1992, Ludwig founded his own mastering facility, Gateway Mastering Studios, in Portland, Maine. He retired in 2023.
