Adventures On Kythera
''Adventures on Kythera'' is an Australian children's television series about five children who have adventures on the Greek island of Kythera. It premiered on 13 August 1991 on the Nine Network and aired until 1992. There were 13 episodes filmed but it was screened as two series, consisting of seven and six episodes. The series was produced and directed by John Tatoulis and written by Deborah Parsons. The series also aired in the United Kingdom on the ITV network between summer 1991 and Easter 1992. The adventure film is a broad genre of film. Some early genre studies found it no different than the Western film or argued that adventure could encompass all Hollywood genres. Commonality was found among historians Brian Taves and Ian Cameron in that the genre required a setting that was both remote in time and space to the film audience and that it contained a positive hero who tries to make right in their world. Amelia Frid (born 30 July 1975) is an Australian former child actress who played Cody Willis in ''Neighbours''. Early life Frid was born in Russia, and arrived in Australia by boat at the age of five, attending prep in Melbourne. Career In 1988, Frid was cast as Molly in the children's television series '' Adventures on Kythera''. It was not broadcast in Australia until 1991.
