Pity Sex
Pity Sex are an American alternative rock band from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. The band formed in 2011, and released two studio albums – ''Feast of Love'' (2013) and ''White Hot Moon'' (2016) – prior to their split. The band combined elements of indie rock, shoegaze, dream pop and noise rock in their music, and were described by ''Pitchfork'' as "post-coital pop-punk". The band announced its reunion in 2022, as part of the Sound & Fury festival line-up. Pity Sex has cited several bands as influences, including My Bloody Valentine (band), My Bloody Valentine, Pixies (band), Pixies, Pavement (band), Pavement, Dinosaur Jr., Kevin Gates, and Yo La Tengo. Best Coast
Best Coast is an American rock duo formed in Los Angeles, California in 2009, currently on hiatus. The band consisted of songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Bethany Cosentino and guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Bobb Bruno. Cosentino, a former child actress, began writing music as a teenager and was formerly a member of the experimentalist drone group Pocahaunted. After a brief stint at college in New York City, Cosentino returned to the West Coast and began recording lo-fi demos with Bruno, whom she met in the Los Angeles music scene. After a string of 7-inch and cassette-only singles, the band signed to Mexican Summer, who issued the band's debut, '' Crazy for You'', in 2010. Tigers Jaw is an American Rock music, rock band from Scranton, Pennsylvania, that formed in 2005. The group was co-founded by Wicca Phase Springs Eternal, Adam McIlwee and Ben Walsh, with Walsh serving as the only consistent member throughout. The band's current lineup consists of Walsh, keyboardist/vocalist Brianna Collins, drummer Teddy Roberts, bassist Colin Gorman, and guitarist Mark Lebiecki. Adventures (American Band)
Adventures was an American rock band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was formed in 2012 by three members of the hardcore punk band Code Orange – Joe Goldman, Reba Meyers and Jami Morgan – with their friends Kimi Hanauer and Dominic Landolina (now also a member of Code Orange).
