Adul Srisothon
Adul Suksamran (; May 30, 1940 – February 18, 1976), known professionally as Adul Srisothorn (, was a Thai professional Muay Thai fighter and boxer. He was a one-time Lumpinee Stadium champion and two-time Rajadamnern Stadium champion across two divisions who was famous during the 1950s and 1960s. Biography and career Early years Born in Chachoengsao province, he and his brother Den started training in Muay Thai under their physical education teacher Mr. Uthai Plaranya at 13 years old. Two years later, under the name Adul Benjamasit, in reference to his school, located in Chachoengsao, he would start fighting professionally. For his first fight, a knockout win in a makeshift ring in Bang Pakong, he was given 12 Thai baht. Ban Pho District
Ban Pho (, ) is a district (''amphoe'') in the western part of Chachoengsao province, central Thailand. History The district was established by separating part of Mueang Chachoengsao District in 1903, then named Sanam Chan (สนามจันทร์) by Prince Marubhongse Siribhadhana, the governor of Monthon Prachinburi. In the past Sanam Chan Subdistrict was on both banks of the Bang Pakong River. Around 1906 the government split the area on the left bank where the district office was located to create Ban Pho Subdistrict. Later, when King Vajiravudh (Rama VI) built the Sanam Chan Palace in Nakhon Pathom in 1911, as the district name was pronounced the same as the Sanam Chan Palace, the government changed the district name to Khao Din District on 20 July 1914. Lumpinee Boxing Stadium
Lumpinee Boxing Stadium () is a arena, sporting arena in Bangkok, Thailand. Opened more than a decade later than Rajadamnern Stadium, Lumpinee is run by the Royal Thai Army. It has become the symbol of modern Muay Thai. Only Rajadamnern Stadium rivals the prestige of holding the title of "Muay Thai Champion of Lumpinee". The ranking system and championship titles are held from mini flyweight (105 lb) up to super welterweight (154 lb). Muay Thai bouts are held on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Narong Yaenprateep (; September 1941 – April 4, 2013), known professionally as Apidej Sit-Hirun (), was a Thai professional Muay Thai fighter and boxer. Thongplew Srinop (; October 17, 1940 – March 2, 2023), known professionally as Dejrit Ithianuchit (), was a Thai professional Muay Thai fighter. He was a three-division Lumpinee Stadium champion who was famous during the 1960s and 1970s. Biography and career Early years Born in Chachoengsao province, Thailand, Dejrit moved to Bangkok when he was 7 years old. He started training soon after under boxing coach Chumpol Sri Ayutthaya. He won his first amateur boxing bout, but his mother urged him to stop out of concern for his future and urged him to complete his education first.
