Adryana Ribeiro
Adryana Ribeiro (born in 1973) is a Brazilian singer signed to Deckdisc. She has released solo works and also albums under the name "Adryana e a Rapaziada". Career In 1994, after participating in a test for the record label Sony BMG Music Entertainment, music critic Sérgio Cabral said that Ribeiro was the "new revelation of samba". Her first album, ''Adryana Ribeiro'', had the participation of artists and samba players like Martinho da Vila, Demônios da Garoa and Raphael Rabello. The graphic material was designed by Elifas Andreato. The song "Sempre Sou Eu", performed with Luiz Carlos, leader of the band Raça Negra, reached good positions in the music charts. Deckdisc
Deckdisc is a Brazilian record company that was founded in 1998. History The Deckdisc officially began his career as a record label in 1998, with distribution from Universal Music. The first success was the series "O Som do Barzinho", which reached more than two million copies sold in its five volumes. It was founded by João Augusto, a journalist and producer who was A&R at PolyGram and A&R, VP of EMI. At EMI, João Augusto worked with Mamonas Assassinas, Marisa Monte, Legião Urbana, Os Paralamas do Sucesso, Exaltasamba and many others. In 1999 Deckdisc brought back to the music scene the band Ultraje a Rigor with the launch of the album ''18 Anos Sem Tirar!'' and in 2000 came the biggest hit of all, the launch of the debut album of Falamansa. Martinho da Vila (born February 12, 1938) is a Brazilian singer and composer who is considered to be one of the main representatives of samba and MPB. He is a prolific songwriter, with hundreds of recorded songs across over 40 solo albums. He also has many songs that were recorded by singers from different musical genres. Internationally celebrated artists such as Nana Mouskouri (Greece), Ornella Vanoni (Italy), Katia Guerreiro (Portugal), Rosario Flores (Spain) have put their voices to Martinho’s songs and lyrics. Demônios da Garoa is a Brazilian samba band. It was formed in São Paulo in 1943, its members drawing influences from a variety of cultural sources to develop their own characteristic style. In 1949, they met Adoniran Barbosa, one of the most important composers of ''música popular brasileira'' or MPB. Together, they personified current socio-cultural trends. In 1994, it was recognized as the oldest performing group in Brazil by Guinness World Records. Rafael Baptista Rabello (October 31, 1962 – April 27, 1995) was a virtuoso Brazilian guitarist and composer. During the 1980s and 1990s, he was considered one of the best acoustic guitar players in the world and played with many famous artists, such as Tom Jobim, Ney Matogrosso, Paulo Moura, and Paco de Lucia. Raça Negra (); Portuguese for "Black Race", is a Brazilian ''pagode'' group from São Caetano do Sul, São Paulo. The ensemble formed in 1983, but did not release their first album until 1991, after a demo tape got them signed to RGE. The album spawned numerous hits in Brazil, and over the next decade the group went on to sell millions of albums. They have made many appearances on Brazilian television. Among their hits are "Caroline", "Quero Ver Você Chorar," "Somente Você," "Chega", "Cigana," "Quando Te Encontrei," "Cheia de Manias," "Doce Paixão," and "Me Leva Junto com Você".
