Adriana Vigneri
Adriana Vigneri (born 9 January 1939) is an Italian academic, lawyer and politician. Born in Treviso and graduated in law, she became a lawyer and a professor of public law at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice. She entered the Chamber of Deputies for the first time in 1992, as a member of the Democratic Party of the Left, and will remain there until 2001 for three consecutive legislatures. She was a member of the following parliamentary bodies: Committee for the authorization to proceed, the Constitutional Affairs Committee and the Parliamentary Committee for the prosecution proceedings. In May 1996 she was appointed Undersecretary of State for the Interior in the government of Romano Prodi. Treviso ( , ; vec, Trevixo) is a city and ''comune'' in the Veneto region of northern Italy. It is the capital of the province of Treviso and the municipality has 84,669 inhabitants (as of September 2017). Some 3,000 live within the Venetian walls (''le Mura'') or in the historical and monumental center; some 80,000 live in the urban center while the city hinterland has a population of approximately 170,000.
