Adrian Stoughton
Adrian Stoughton (1556–1614), of Stoughton, Surrey and West Stoke, near Chichester, Sussex, was an English politician. He was the son of Thomas Stoughton, MP and the brother of Laurence Stoughton, MP. Educated at the Inner Temple, he was called to the bar in 1587. He was the Recorder of Chichester from 1600. West Stoke
West or Occident is one of the four cardinal directions or points of the compass. It is the opposite direction from east and is the direction in which the Sun sets on the Earth. Chichester is a constituency in West Sussex, represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2017 by Gillian Keegan, a Conservative. History Chichester centres on the small medieval cathedral city by the South Downs National Park. It is one of the oldest constituencies in the UK, having been created when commoners were first called to the Model Parliament in 1295 as one of the original Parliamentary boroughs returning two members. The seat has sent one member since 1868, after the Reform Act 1867. In its various forms, Chichester has been a Conservative stronghold since 1868, and has been held by them continuously since 1924.
