Adrian Smith is a British illustrator, best known for his numerous illustrations for Games Workshop Games Workshop Group (often abbreviated as GW) is a British manufacturer of miniature wargames, based in Nottingham, England. Its best-known products are ''Warhammer Age of Sigmar'' and ''Warhammer 40,000''. Founded in 1975 by John Peake (gam ...'s games. Adrian and Ian Miller are especially well known for their work in the early days of Warhammer and 40k in creating a dark and serious atmospheric setting. He has also worked in comics producing a number of covers for '' Toxic!'' and is working on the French graphic novel series ''Broz'' with Pat Mills. ''Toxic!'' was a British comic that was published weekly from March 28 to October 24, 1991, by Apocalypse Ltd, with a total of 31 issues. History ''Toxic!'' was the idea of Pat Mills, Kevin O'Neill, Mike McMahon, John Wagner and Alan Grant. The aim was to provide creators an outlet for their work to be published with them retaining the rights and control of their work. This was in contrast to '' 2000 AD'', which Mills had also launched in 1977. ''Toxic!'' was to be the main rival of ''2000 AD'', and would be in ful- colour throughout (as opposed to ''2000 AD'', which was still mainly published in black and white). Pat Mills
Patrick Eamon Mills (born 1949) is an English comics writer and editor who, along with John Wagner, revitalised British boys comics in the 1970s, and has remained a leading light in British comics ever since. He has been called "the godfather of British comics". His comics are notable for their violence and anti-authoritarianism. He is best known for creating '' 2000 AD'' and playing a major part in the development of ''Judge Dredd''. Biography Mills started his career as a sub-editor for D. C. Thomson & Co.
