Adrian Pederick
Adrian Stephen Pederick ( ; born 4 September 1962) is an Australian politician, representing the South Australian House of Assembly seat of Hammond for the South Australian Division of the Liberal Party of Australia. Pederick currently holds title of the Government Whip in the South Australian House of Assembly. Pederick won Hammond from Liberal-turned-independent Peter Lewis who left to contest a seat in the Upper House. Previous to his election in to politics, Pederick managed a family dryland and grazing enterprise property at Coomandook for the past 14 years and is a supporter of local and regional community causes and events. The 2006 election saw Pederick elected with a 12.0-point margin. He was reelected for a third consecutive term in the 2014 election. South Australian House Of Assembly
The House of Assembly, or lower house, is one of the two chambers of the Parliament of South Australia. The other is the Legislative Council. It sits in Parliament House in the state capital, Adelaide. Overview The House of Assembly was created in 1857, when South Australia attained self-government. The development of an elected legislature — although only men could vote — marked a significant change from the prior system, where legislative power was in the hands of the Governor and the Legislative Council, which was appointed by the Governor. John Darley (politician)
John Andrew Darley (born 15 May 1937) is a former member of the South Australian Legislative Council and a former valuer-general. Political career (2007–present) Darley was appointed to the South Australian Legislative Council by a joint sitting of the Parliament of South Australia on 21 November 2007 to replace outgoing Independent No Pokies MLC Nick Xenophon who resigned to contest the Australian Senate at the 2007 federal election. Darley was the third of three candidates on the independent No Pokies upper house ticket at the 2006 state election. Darley was re-elected at the 2014 state election as the first candidate on the independent Nick Xenophon ticket. Ann Vanstone
Ann Vanstone is an Australian lawyer. She was a crown prosecutor before being appointed as a judge of the District Court of South Australia from 1999 until 2003. She was then appointed to the Supreme Court of South Australia. Vanstone stepped down from the Supreme Court bench in June 2019. On 27 July 2020, Vanstone was announced as the next South Australian Independent Commissioner Against Corruption, to take up the position on 1 September 2020. Early life and education Vanstone went to Walford Church of England Girls Grammar School (now Walford Anglican School for Girls), in Adelaide. Career Vanstone studied law at the University of Adelaide and following her graduation became a barrister in 1978. Vanstone became the deputy crown prosecutor in 1989 and the associate director of public prosecutions in 1992. The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) is a role associated with the South Australian Office of Public Integrity. It was established by the Government of South Australia in 2013. The little penguin (''Eudyptula minor'') is a species of penguin from New Zealand. They are commonly known as little blue penguins or blue penguins owing to their slate-blue plumage and are also known by their Māori name .
