Adrian William Moore
Adrian William Moore (born 1956) is a British philosopher and broadcaster. He is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Oxford and tutorial fellow of St Hugh's College, Oxford. His main areas of interest are Kant, Wittgenstein, history of philosophy, metaphysics, philosophy of mathematics, philosophy of logic and language, ethics and philosophy of religion. Education A. W. Moore was educated at The Manchester Grammar School. He graduated with a B.A. in philosophy from King's College, Cambridge, after which he went to Oxford, where he studied at Balliol College for his B.Phil and D.Phil. in philosophy, completing the latter with a thesis on ''Language, Time and Ontology'' under the supervision of Michael Dummett. During his time as a postgraduate at Oxford, Moore was awarded the John Locke Prize in Mental Philosophy (in 1980). ''Lessons of a Dream'' (german: Der ganz große Traum) is a German drama film directed by Sebastian Grobler, loosely based on the life of German football pioneer Konrad Koch in the late 19th-century. In the film, Koch is one of the first English teachers in the German Empire, in Braunschweig. He introduces his students to the new sport of football, completely unknown outside of England at the time, to get them interested in English culture and the English language. Koch's liberal teaching methods upset his conservative colleagues, the student's parents, and local dignitaries. Adrian Moore (rapist)
Adrian Trevor Moore is a former police officer in Western Australia, convicted in October 2022 of drugging and sexually abusing at least 30 women between 2007 and 2019, both during and after his police employment. Moore used police computers to select victims, who he then drugged and subjected to violent sexual assaults, in some cases over an extended period. He was convicted in 2019 for misuse of restricted police computer systems, admitting 180 counts of accessing information relating to 92 women he had met on dating sites. He filmed the assaults, gathering "hundreds of thousands" of videos over more than a decade. The women were subjected to sadistic assaults, leaving at least one "bleeding from every orifice". Following release, an investigation by Western Australia Police found further evidence, leading to an indictment on 108 charges in 2020. He was convicted in 2022 and sentenced to 30 years in jail.
