Adrian Lambert
Adrian Lambert (born 26 April 1972) is an English bass guitarist who currently plays for thrash metal band Biomechanical and progressive rock band Son of Science. He also played bass in the power metal band DragonForce from 2003 to 2005. Gear Lambert currently uses Ibanez SoundGear six string basses. He currently uses the Ibanez SR 1006EFM Prestige in natural flat and the SR506 in black. Lambert also uses the Sansamp bass driver DI. Achievements Lambert has recorded three full-length albums. Notable tours include opening for Iron Maiden on the European leg of their Eddie Rips Up the World Tour 2005. Notable festivals include main stage performances at Wacken Open Air, Bloodstock Open Air and Graspop. Lambert signed an artist endorsement deal with Ibanez in 2005. Bloodstock Open Air
Bloodstock Open Air is a British heavy metal festival held annually at Catton Hall in Walton-on-Trent, Derbyshire, since 2005. Originally held indoors for one day with two stages, the festival started in 2001 at the Derby Assembly Rooms and expanded over the years. It became an outdoor event in 2005. By 2019, it had five stages and a capacity of 15,000, and as of 2023, it welcomed 20,000 metalheads. History Originally on one stage only, the festival expanded to incorporate a second stage in 2006. Eddie Rips Up the World Tour was a concert tour by English heavy metal band Iron Maiden, in support of their 2004 DVD, '' The History of Iron Maiden – Part 1: The Early Days''. Background The tour saw the band headlining several stadiums and festivals throughout Europe, with the concert at Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden on 9 July being broadcast live in full on both Swedish national television and radio, and co-headlining with Black Sabbath for the majority of the North American Ozzfest tour. The final date of the US segment of the tour ( Hyundai Pavilion in San Bernardino, California on 20 August 2005) ended on a sour note. DragonForce are a British power metal band from London, formed in 1999. They are known for their long and fast guitar solos, fantasy literature, fantasy-themed lyrics and video game music, retro video game-influenced sound. The band themselves refer to their music as "extreme power metal". DragonForce's current lineup comprises guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman, vocalist Marc Hudson, drummer Gee Anzalone, and bassist Alicia Vigil. Slapping and popping are ways to produce percussive sounds on a stringed instrument. They are primarily used on the double bass or bass guitar. Slapping on bass guitar involves using the edge of one's knuckle, where it is particularly bony, to quickly strike the string against the fretboard. Guitar picking is a group of hand and finger techniques a guitarist uses to set guitar strings in motion to produce audible notes. Graspop Metal Meeting is a Belgian heavy metal festival held in Dessel each year since 1996, excluding 2020 and 2021 due to covid restrictions. Despite the small size of the festival grounds (upholding a perimeter of only ~4 km) the festival draws a large number of spectators from around the world, with a total of 220,000 visitors in 2022 and 2023, up from 200,000 visitors over the course of the 2019 edition, and 152,000 in 2015.
