Adrian Gheorghiu
Adrian Ion Gheorghiu (born 30 November 1981) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays for Liga IV-Bacău County side Viitorul Curița. He is right footed and plays as a left winger, but lately he played as a right winger. He is a technical skilled player, one of the few Romanian players with this skills. Club career He started his career in the 3rd Romanian division Laminorul Roman, where he played until 2002. He attracted interest, since then because of his skills. After a short spell in Dărmăneşti, he signed with the Liga II Romanian side Petrolul Moineşti, where he stayed for almost a year. He was one of the top scorers, and he brought attention from the Liga I teams. FCM Bacău He signed a four-year contract with FCM Bacău in the 2004 summer. 2009–10 Liga I
The 2009–10 Liga I was the ninety-second season of Liga I, the top-level football league of Romania. Unirea Urziceni were the defending champions. Teams Farul Constanța, Otopeni and Gloria Buzău were relegated at the end of the 2008–09 season. They were joined by Argeș Pitești, who were demoted upon a decision of the Professional Football League on 8 July 2009, after their owner, Cornel Penescu, was found guilty of corruption. As a consequence, 15th-placed Gaz Metan Mediaș were spared relegation. The four relegated teams were replaced by the champions and runners-up from both 2008–09 Liga II divisions. Ceahlăul Piatra Neamț and Ploiești were promoted from Seria I while Unirea Alba Iulia and Internațional Curtea de Argeș were promoted from Seria II. The 2007–08 Liga I was the ninety season of Liga I, the top-level football league of Romania. Season began on 27 July 2007 and ended on 7 May 2008. CFR Cluj became champions, winning their first trophy and ending a 17-year-long reign of Bucharest based teams. CFR Cluj will play in the Champions League group stage, while Steaua București qualified for the Champions League third qualifying round. Rapid București, Dinamo București, Unirea Urziceni and Politehnica Știința Timișoara qualified for the UEFA Cup first round. The highest placed team that has not qualified for the UEFA Cup is allowed the opportunity to compete in the third round of the UEFA Intertoto Cup, provided they have applied to enter the Intertoto Cup in the next season. 2006–07 Liga I
The 2006–07 Liga I was the eighty-ninth season of Liga I, the top-level association football, football league of Romania. Season began on 28 July 2006 and ended on 23 May 2007. Teams Eighteen teams played in the 2006–07 season. Four teams were from Moldova (Romanian region), Moldova, four clubs from Transylvania, one from Northern Dobruja, Dobruja and nine from Wallachia four of them coming from the country's capital city Bucharest. Pandurii Târgu Jiu had been relegated at the end of the 2005-06 Divizia A, previous season but they re-entered Liga I at the expense of Sportul Studenţesc which has been relegated to Liga II due to financial problems. SC Vaslui
Fotbal Club Vaslui, commonly known as FC Vaslui, or simply as Vaslui (), was a Romanian professional football club based in Vaslui, Vaslui County, founded in 2002 and dissolved in 2014. Its official club colours were yellow and green, hence the nickname "the Yellow and Greens". The club was founded in 2002 as ''Fotbal Club Vaslui'' and became one of the most prominent football clubs in the country after its promotion to the Liga I, three years later. The 2001–02 Divizia B was the 62nd season of the second tier of the Romanian football league system.
