Adoraim ( ''ʾĂḏōrayīm''), Adora () or Adurim was an ancient town in the Hebron Hills, southwest of Hebron. It is documented in several ancient sources, including the Bible, the Apocrypha, the Zenon Papyri, and the writings of Josephus. During the History of ancient Israel and Judah, Iron Age, Adoraim was a part of the Kingdom of Judah. During the Second Temple period, it was inhabited by Edomites. Presently, Adoraim corresponds to the Palestinian city of Dura, Hebron, Dura, which has preserved the ancient name. The nearby Israeli community settlement of Adora, Har Hevron, Adora is named after the ancient city. Etymology In the Hebrew Bible, the city is referred to as ''Adoraim'' (2 Chron. 11.9). Adora () is an Israeli settlement organised as a community settlement in the Judean Mountains in the southern West Bank, northwest of Hebron. Established in 1984, the community ideologically identifies with the Herut–Betar farming organization and falls under the jurisdiction of Har Hevron Regional Council. Under the terms of the Oslo Accords of 1993 between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization, Adora was designated Area "C" under full Israeli civil and security control. Park Soo-hyun (; born September 25, 1997), professionally known as Adora (), is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and record producer. She made her debut as a soloist on November 5, 2021, under Aura Entertainment with the digital single "Make U Dance", featuring Eunha of Viviz. In 2022, she released her debut EP ''Adorable Rebirth''. Prior she wrote and produced songs for various acts including BTS, TXT, GFriend, Fromis 9, and Chungha. Bertrice Small (December 9, 1937 – February 24, 2015) was an American ''New York Times''- bestselling writer of historical and erotic romance novels. Bertrice lived on Long Island, New York, with her husband George Small. She was a member of The Authors Guild, Romance Writers of America, PAN, and PASIC. Biography Personal life Small was born Bertrice Williams in Manhattan on December 9, 1937. Her parents were David Williams and the former Doris Steen. Both worked in the business side of television broadcasting. She attended St. Mary's, a school for girls run by Anglican nuns, in Peekskill, N.Y.
