Adolf Armah is a Ghanaian former professional Association football, footballer who played as a defender. He is known for his involvement in the 1978 African Cup of Nations squads, squad that won the 1978 Africa Cup of Nations, 1978 African Cup of Nations. The Ghana national football team represents Ghana in men's international football, doing it since 1957. The team consists of twenty players including the technical team. The team is nicknamed the Black Stars after the Black Star of Africa in the flag of Ghana. It is governed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) the governing body for football in Ghana and the oldest football association in Africa (founded in 1920). Prior to 1957, the team played as the Gold Coast. The team is a member of both FIFA and CAF. Ghana qualified for the FIFA World Cup for the first time in 2006. Emmanuel Ofei Ansah
Emmanuel Ofei Ansah (6 June 1953 – 8 June 2005) was a Ghanaian former professional footballer and manager. During his playing career he played as a defender for Accra Hearts of Oak. At the international level, he is known for his involvement in the squad that won the 1978 African Cup of Nations. Whilst serving as the manager of Accra Hearts of Oak, on 7 June 2005, he collapsed after a Ghana Premier league match and was rushed to the Ridge Hospital, Accra, but unfortunately died the following day. Ghanaian FA Cup
The Ghanaian FA Cup, currently known as the MTN FA Cup for sponsorship purposes, is the top knockout tournament of the Ghanaian association football. The competition is played between the clubs of the Premier League, Division One League, Ghana Division Two League, Ghana Division Three League and GAFCOA. The first G.F.A. Cup competition took place in the season 1957–1958, with an eight years hiatus between the seasons 2002-2010. Hearts of Oak is the most successful club, having won the competition on 10 occasion, followed by Asante Koko who have won the cup on nine occasions. In 2016, Bechem United defeated Okwawu United 2–1 in the 2016 final.
