It has a very small snout, and a semicircular aperture. Sculpture. ''Longitudinals'' - The numerous hair-like lines of growth are notably strong. ''Spirals'' — below the suture a shoulder is marked by an angulation carrying a thread. The shoulder is faintly scored with spiral threads. From the angulation to the snout there are several well-marked threads parted by shallow broader furrows. Toward the tip of the snout is a twisted scar. The whole surface is scored by fine, almost microscopic lines. Colour: The shell is porcellaneous white beneath the thin dirtyish yellow epidermis. Admete Solida
''Admete solida'' is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Cancellariidae, the nutmeg snails. Description The shell grows to a length of 36 mm, its diameter 22 mm. (Described as ''Admete regina'') The large, solid shell is white, with a coffee-colored periostracum. It typically comprises five or more whorls, the apex in every case being more or less eroded. The spiral sculpture consists of fine, evenly channeled grooves with flattened or even slightly concave wider interspaces. These grooves cover the whole shell except a narrow gap between the suture and the shoulder of the whorls. Approximately two grooves, along with an interspace, span a single millimeter. The axial sculpture consists of a few faint often more or less obsolete, irregular, low plications, not quite reaching the middle of the whorl. The suture is very deep but not channeled The whorls themselves possess a moderate curvature. The base of the shell is attenuated, with a narrow, ... Admete Microsoma
''Admete microsoma'' is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Cancellariidae, the nutmeg snails. Description The shell grows to a length of 3.5 mm, the maximum diameter 1.8 mm. (Original description) The small, thin shell is covered with a pale brownish periostracum. It contains about five tabulate whorls beside the (lost) protoconch. The suture is distinct and not channelled. The whorl in front of it is flattened and beyond the keel at the shoulder moderately rounded. The axial sculpture consists of lines of growth which are at intervals so prominent as to suggest faint ribs. The spiral sculpture comprises a marked keel at the shoulder, minutely undulate by the axial riblets, and followed by a wide interval. There are about eight less prominent spiral threads, separated by successively narrower intervals with microscopic intercalary threads, covering the whole base. Admete Magellanica
''Admete magellanica'' is a species of sea snails, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Cancellariidae, the nutmeg snails. Description The length of the shell varies between 8 mm and 25 mm. (Original description in German) The shell has a conical-ovate shape. It is thin but quite firm. It is white, somewhat translucent, and covered with a yellowish cuticle. The spire is sometimes more, sometimes less low, as can be seen from the illustrations, but always lower than the body whorl. The protoconch, which is often nibbled or damaged, has a slightly protruding nucleus. The suture of the first whorl is slightly more oblique than in the following whorls, of which there are in total 4½, separated by a slightly deeper lying suture. They depart from the suture somewhat flattened or slightly arched or shallowly inclined in a roof-like manner, then turn steeply and become slightly arched downwards, creating a more or less distinct blunt or sharp edge, which is sometimes emp ...
