Ādityas
In Hinduism, Adityas ( ) refers to a group of major solar deities, who are the offspring of the goddess Aditi. The name ''Aditya'', in the singular, is taken to refer to the solar deity, sun god Surya. Generally, Adityas are twelve in number and consist of Vivasvan (Surya), Aryaman, Tvashtr, Savitr, Bhaga, Dhatr, Mitra (Hindu god), Mitra, Varuna, Amsha, Pushan, Indra and Vishnu (in the form of Vamana). They appear in the ''Rig Veda'', where they are 6–8 in number, all male. The number increases to 12 in the ''Brahmanas''. Surya ( ; , ) is the Sun#Dalal, Dalal, p. 399 as well as the solar deity in Hinduism. He is traditionally one of the major five deities in the Smarta tradition, Smarta tradition, all of whom are considered as equivalent deities in the Panchayatana puja and a means to realise Brahman. Aditya is an Indian film producer and actor, primarily appearing in Kannada films. He made his acting debut in 2004, starring in ''Love'' and went on to appear in several commercially successful films. He is the son of Kannada director Rajendra Singh Babu. Career Aditya's career began at the age of 21, when he began producing many of the films directed by his father. ''Aditya'' is a solar-powered ferry operating between Vaikkom and Thavanakkadavu in the Indian state of Kerala. The boat was inaugurated by Kerala Chief Minister Sri. Aditya-L1 (Sanskrit: 'Sun', L1 ' Lagrange Point 1') is a coronagraphy spacecraft for studying the solar atmosphere, designed and developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and various other Indian Space Research Institutes. It is orbiting at about 1.5 million km from Earth in a halo orbit around the Lagrange point 1 (L1) between the Earth and the Sun, where it will study the solar atmosphere, solar magnetic storms, and their impact on the environment around the Earth. ADITYA (tokamak)
ADITYA is a medium size tokamak installed at the Institute for Plasma Research in India. Its construction began in 1982, and it was commissioned in 1989. It was the first tokamak in India. It has a major radius of 0.75 metres and a minor radius of 0.25 metres. The maximum field strength is 1.2 tesla produced by 20 toroidal field coils spaced symmetrically in the toroidal direction. It is operated by two power supplies, a capacitor bank and the APPS (ADITYA pulse power supply). Adithyan (birth name Titus; 9 April 1954 – 5 December 2017) was an Indian film score and soundtrack composer. He has predominantly scored music for Tamil films apart from working in Telugu and Malayalam films. He sang several songs for his own films and for other composers. He created and released many Tamil Pop & Remix albums in India and Malaysia. He also hosted his own television cooking show 'Aadithyan's Kitchen' on Jaya TV for 8 years. He was a self-taught artist and his paintings adorn walls of several homes. Aditya II (942 CE – 971 CE), also known as Aditha Karikalan, was a Chola prince who lived in the 10th century in India. He was born in Tirukoilur and was the eldest son of Parantaka Chola II. He was the elder brother of Rajaraja Chola I and Kundavai. He was called ''Virapandiyan Thalai Konda Koparakesari Varman Karikalan''. Early life Aditha Karikalan was the elder son of the Chola king Parantaka II (alias Sundara) and queen Vanavan Mahadevi. He was the elder brother of Rajaraja Chola and Kundavai. He led the Chola expedition against the Pandyas and defeated the Pandya king Veerapandyan at the Battle of Chevur. He killed Veerapandiyan after chasing him on the banks of Vaigai river.
