Adila Mutallibova
Adila Mutallibova ( az, Adilə Mütəllibova, 1938 – 5 July 2019) was an Azerbaijani physician and wife of former President of Azerbaijan Ayaz Mutallibov. She served as the first First Lady of Azerbaijan from the country's independence in 1991 until 1992. Biography Adila Mutallibova was born in Baku in 1938. She married Ayaz Mutallibov in 1961. The couple had two sons: Azad (1962–August 2011) and Zaur (b. 1970). President Ayaz Mutallibov was forced to resign during the spring of 1992 as the First Nagorno-Karabakh War turned in Armenia's favor. Adila Mutallibova and her husband fled Azerbaijan and lived in exile in Moscow, Russia, from 1992 until 2011. They were allowed to return to Azerbaijan in August 2011 to attend the funeral of their son, Azad, who died from cancer. Taza Pir Mosque
Taza Pir Mosque (also Tazapir, Teze Pir, Teze-Pir, Tezepir) is a mosque in Baku, Azerbaijan. Its construction began in 1905 and was finished by 1914. The idea for the mosque as well as its financing was provided by an Azeri female philanthropist, Nabat Khanum Ashurbeyova (Ashurbeyli) History The history of the sanctuary dates back to the XIV and XV centuries. It existed first time as a tomb. The tomb belonged to Abu Seyid Abdulla who was a scholar and Islamic saint. The location of the sanctuary was known as “Xalfadam” until the middle of the last century. Over time, the tomb of Abu Seid Abdulla was exposed to destruction. However, the local population of Baku especially the Baku elites restored it several times. In 1817, son-in-law of Huseyngulu Khan, Qasim Bey financed restoration costs of the mosque. It was in print in Russia from 1992 until 2017 and was distributed free of charge at places frequented by English-speaking tourists and expatriates such as hotels, cafés, embassies, and airlines, and also by subscription. The newspaper was popular among foreign citizens residing in Moscow and English-speaking Russians. In November 2015 the newspaper changed its design and type from daily to weekly (released every Thursday) and increased the number of pages to 24. Ayaz Niyazi oghlu Mutallibov, russian: Аяз Ниязович Муталибов, Ayaz Niyazovich Mutalibov (12 May 1938 – 27 March 2022) was an Azerbaijani politician who served as the first president of Azerbaijan. He was the last leader of Soviet Azerbaijan, and first President of Azerbaijan from 18 May 1990 until 6 March 1992 and from 14 May until 18 May 1992. Biography Ayaz Mutallibov was born on 12 May 1938, in Baku to the family of a physician and later World War II veteran, Niyazi Ashraf oghlu Mutallibov ( az, Niyazi Əşrəf oğlu Mütəllibov), and gynaecologist Kubra Mutallibova (died in 1988).
