The 2006 1. divisjon season (referred to as Adeccoligaen for sponsorship reasons) was a Norwegian second-tier football season. The season kicked off on 9 April 2006, with eleven rounds being played before the World Cup break on 5 June. The league resumed on 2 July and the final round was played on 5 November 2006. Strømsgodset were promoted to the Tippeligaen as First Division winners, along with Aalesund who finished second. Strømsgodset will be playing in the top division for the first time since 2001. Strømsgodset Toppfotball is a Norwegian professional association football, football club based in Gulskogen, Drammen, competing in the Eliteserien (football), Eliteserien. It is part of the multi-sports club Strømsgodset IF, founded on February 10, 1907. The football team rose to prominence in the late 1960s and early 1970s, led by young striker Steinar Pettersen and his teammates, known as the "Rødgata Boys" (named after their street in Drammen). Thomas Sørum (born 17 November 1982) is a Norwegian footballer who currently plays for Stoppen . He made his debut for Strømsgodset in 2001, having previously played for Liungen IF and NTG. He was also loaned to Manglerud Star in 2006. After the 2008 season, he was sold to Haugesund from Strømsgodset. On 30 August 2011 it became official that Sørum was leaving for the Swedish club Helsingborgs IF. Follo Fotballklubb is a football club from Ski, Akershus, Norway. Follo play in light blue, and their home ground is Ski stadion. It was founded in September 2000 and their biggest achievement was playing in the 2010 Norwegian Football Cup final. History It was founded in September 2000 as an umbrella team for the football departments of five local teams; Ås IL, Oppegård IL, Langhus IL, Ski IL and Nordby IL. The 2007 2. divisjon was the third highest football league for men in Norway. 26 games were played in 4 groups, with 3 points given for wins and 1 for draws. Idrottslaget Hødd is a multi-sports club from Ulsteinvik in Møre og Romsdal, Norway. Founded in 1919, it has sections for team handball, gymnastics and football. Løv-Ham Fotball is a football club from Fyllingsdalen in Bergen, Norway. Its origins are two local sports teams in Fyllingsdalen called ''Løvåsen'' and ''Hamre''.
