Adaora Elonu
Adaora Nnenna Elonu (born 28 April 1990) is a Nigerian-American professional basketball player and a member of the Nigeria women's national team. Elonu played college basketball for Texas A&M, with whom she won the 2011 NCAA Championship. Texas A&M statistics Source Club career In 2012, she went overseas, playing one season in Israel for Hapoel Galil Elyon, after which she signed in Spain with Beroil–Ciudad de Burgos. After the team disbanded, she signed for CB Conquero with whom she won the 2016 Copa de la Reina, being selected as the tournament's MVP. Despite not playing several games with the club due to lack of payment of her wages, she likewise finished the regular season with the highest efficiency ranking. Forward (basketball)
In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. The three main positions are guard, forward, and center, with the standard team featuring two guards, two forwards, and a center. AfroBasket Women 2017
The 2017 FIBA Women's AfroBasket was the 23rd AfroBasket Women, played under the rules of FIBA, the world governing body for basketball, and FIBA Africa. The tournament was hosted by Mali from 18 to 27 August, with games played at Bamako. The winners and runners-up qualified for the 2018 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup. Chinemelu Elonu
Chinemelu D. Elonu Jr. (born March 11, 1987) is a Nigerian-American professional basketball player for Al-Jahra of the Kuwaiti Division I Basketball League. He played college basketball for Texas A&M. High school career Elonu attended Alief Elsik High School where he averaged 15.0 points per game as a senior, helping the team to a 33–5 record while posting career highs of 21 points and 20 rebounds. He was ranked as the No. 48 power forward in the country by Scout.com. College career Elonu played at Texas A&M University, where he played with the Aggies, from 2006 to 2009. In his junior and final season, he averaged 10 points and 7 rebounds per game. He graduated from the school in May 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Leadership and Development.
