Adamu Garba Talba
Adamu Garba Talba (born 15 August 1952) is a native of Karai-Karai born in Nangere, Yobe State. He was elected Senator for the Yobe South constituency of Yobe State, Nigeria, taking office on 29 May 2007. Education Talba gained a diploma in Public Administration and entered the Yobe State Civil Service. He was twice elected council Chairman of Nangere Local Government Council in Yobe State. He was appointed chairman of the Board of Management, Federal Medical Centre, Alare, Director of NNDC, Kaduna and Commissioner of Health for Yobe State. Career and achievements As Senator, in September 2008, Talba advocated establishment of a National Desert Commission to tackle desert encroachment in the northern part of the country. Yobe State
Yobe is a States of Nigeria, state located in northeastern Nigeria. A mainly agricultural state, it was created on 27 August 1991. Yobe State was carved out of Borno State. The capital of Yobe State is Damaturu, and its largest city by population is Potiskum, while the largest by land area is Fune. Ibrahim Geidam
Ibrahim Gaidam (born 15 September 1956) is a Nigerian politician and the current Minister of Police Affairs since 2023. He previously served as senator representing the Yobe East senatorial district from 2019 to 2023, and as governor of Yobe State from 2009 to 2019. Gaidam became governor of Yobe State following the death of Governor Mamman Bello Ali on 26 January 2009. He previously served as deputy to Ali from 2007 to 2009. The All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) was a political party in Nigeria. The ANPP was a household party in the extreme north of Nigeria, primarily due to its mass appeal among more religious voters.
