Adam Torres (singer)
Adam Torres is a singer and songwriter. He has released two albums and is currently signed to Fat Possum Records. Career Torres was born in Albuquerque, NM, grew up in West Chester, Ohio, and moved to Athens, Ohio in 2003 where he enrolled at Ohio University. He became part of Southeast Engine and featured on the album ''A Wheel Within a Wheel.'' In 2006 he self-released the album ''Nostra Nova'' that was produced with the help of local musicians. The material had been written in Switzerland during his stay with his parents over the summer in 2005. The album was re-released on Misra Records in April 2015. After settling in Austin, TX, he signed with Fat Possum records. Here Torres recorded his second album while he toured Europe as support to Monk Parker. In September 2016, the album ''Pearls to Swine'' was released, and Torres embarked on a headlining tour of North America in support. Southeast Engine
Southeast Engine is an indie-folk-rock band from Athens, Ohio. With the help of The Wrens, the band signed with Misra Records in 2007 and released their first internationally distributed album later that year. Their music has seen critical acclaim from NPR, Pitchfork. The A.V. Club, and more. History Founding members Adam Remnant (lead vocals, guitar) and Leo DeLuca (drum kit, percussion) grew up in Dayton, Ohio and attended the same high school during the 1990s. The Low Lows (band)
The Low Lows are an American avant-garde Americana/Alternative country band currently consisting of Mangham Parker, Brockett Hamilton, Matt Verta-Ray and Zachary Larkins History The Low Lows was formed in Athens, Georgia in 2005, originally consisting of lead vocalist and guitarist Mangham Parker (aka Parker Noon), organist Daniel Rickard, and drummer Jeremy Wheatley, all of whom are former members of the band Parker and Lily. Parker has been the only constant in the band, as Rickard and Wheatley left the band in 2008 and there have been several other musicians who have joined the band and left since the band was formed. Thor Harris (born February 7, 1965) is an artist, sculptor, musician, painter, carpenter and handyman. He was the percussionist for Swans (2010–2016). He has performed with Shearwater (2001–2010), Bill Callahan, The Angels of Light, Lisa Germano, Yonatan Gat, Gretchen Phillips, Devendra Banhart, Rebecca Cannon, Xiu Xiu, Flock of Dimes & Amanda Palmer, Whalesong, and the Grand Theft Orchestra. He has recorded at least six instrumental albums with the Austin producer Rob Halverson. He also contributed to Ben Frost's 2014 album, '' Aurora''.
