Adam Kury
Adam Kury (born July 7, 1969) is an American bassist and vocalist. He is best known as the bassist for the American alternative rock band Candlebox. Based in Los Angeles, California, he has been the bassist for Candlebox since the band reunited in 2008. Kury has also performed with notable acts such as Legs Diamond Jack "Legs" Diamond (possibly born John Thomas Diamond, though disputed; July 10, 1897 – December 18, 1931), also known as Gentleman Jack, was an Irish American gangster in Philadelphia and New York City during the Prohibition era. Candlebox is an American rock band from Seattle, Washington. Since its formation in 1990, the group has released seven studio albums, several charting singles, a compilation, and a CD+DVD. Candlebox found immediate success with the release of its self-titled debut album in July 1993. ''Candlebox'' featured four singles: "Change", " You", " Far Behind" and "Cover Me". "Far Behind" reached the top 20, and the album was certified quadruple platinum by the RIAA. The band's next album, '' Lucy'' (1995), was certified gold, and was followed three years later by '' Happy Pills'' (1998). After troubles with its record company, Candlebox broke up in 2000. The Kings Royal (TKR) is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in early 2007. The band is made up of Benny Marchant on vocals and guitar, Sean Hennesy (The Hiwatts, Candlebox, The Gracious Few) on lead guitar, Walker Gibson on keyboards, Adam Kury (The Hiwatts, Candlebox) on bass and Dave Krusen (Pearl Jam, Candlebox) on drums. History The Kings Royal initially recorded 20 songs with David J. Holman producing, some with Sean Hurley (of Vertical Horizon) on bass guitar and Brian "Dogboy" Burwell (of Neve (American band), Neve) on drums. They performed in clubs in and around Los Angeles, such as the Viper Room and the Whisky a Go Go. Legs Diamond is an American rock band. They formed in Los Angeles, California, United States, with original members Michael "Diamond" Gargano (bass), Jeff Poole (drums), Roger Romeo (guitar), Rick Sanford (vocals) and Michael Prince (keyboards and guitar) and were named for a 1920s gangster of the same name. The group released their self-titled debut album for Mercury Records in 1977. The original band broke up in 1980 after three popular albums, but reformed in 1984 after their original albums had begun to acquire a cult following and released 2 more albums.
