Adalgisa Nery
Adalgisa Nery (October 29, 1905 – June 7, 1980) was a Brazilian poet, journalist and politician. Biography She was born in Rio de Janeiro as Adalgisa Maria Feliciana Noel Cancela Ferreira, the daughter of a civil servant. In 1922 she married Ismael Nery (1900–1934), a Painting, painter and poet who introduced Adalgisa to a circle of Brazilian artists and intellectuals that included Manuel Bandeira, Jorge de Lima and Murilo Mendes. The Nerys lived in Europe from 1927 to 1929, where they met the artist Marc Chagall and the Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos. Ismael died of tuberculosis in 1934, leaving Adalgisa with two sons. Nery began to publish poetry and fiction after her first husband's death. Her first book, ''Poemas'', published in 1937, received critical acclaim, and she wrote Short story, short stories and magazine articles. Adalgisa Magno Guterres
Adaljiza Albertina Xavier Reis Magno (born 7 January 1975) is an East Timorese politician and diplomat, and a member of the Fretilin political party. From June 2020 to July 2023, she was the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, serving in the VIII Constitutional Government of East Timor led by Prime Minister Taur Matan Ruak. Previously, she served several terms as Vice Minister in that portfolio, and briefly, in 2007, as acting Minister. She has also been the East Timorese Ambassador to Singapore. Early life and career Magno was born in Baguia, in the then Portuguese Timor, to Ana Xavier G. Magno and Alberto dos Reis Magno. Eleven months after her birth, Indonesia began its occupation of East Timor. Magno's family fled to Mount Matebian, a centre of the Fretilin resistance against the occupiers. Adelchis (given Name)
Adalgis or Adelchis ( – 788) was an associate king of the Lombards from August 759, reigning with his father, Desiderius, until their deposition in June 774. He is also remembered today as the hero of the play ''Adelchi'' (1822) by Alessandro Manzoni. Biography Adalgis was the son of Desiderius and his wife Ansa. He was associated with his father in the kingship in August 759. In Desiderius' attempts to rekindle an alliance between the Lombards and Carolingians he proposed that Adalgis should marry Charlemagne's sister Gisela. Bachrach has suggested that this proposal was to undermine the Carolingian's relationship with the papacy.
