Adabar is a Thana of Dhaka District located on the bank of Buriganga river, in Bangladesh. To the north, there is Darus Salam Thana and Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, to the east and south, there is Mohammadpur Thana and to the west, there is Buriganga river. Dhaka District
Dhaka District ( bn, ঢাকা জেলা, Dhaka jela) is a district in central Bangladesh, and is the densest district in the nation. It is a part of the Dhaka Division. Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, and rests on the eastern banks of the Buriganga River which flows from the Turag to the southern part of the district. While Dhaka (city corporation) occupies only about a fifth of the area of Dhaka district, it is the economic, political and cultural centre of the district and the country as a whole. Dhaka District consists with Dhaka, Keraniganj , Nababganj, Dohar, Savar and Dhamrai upazila. Buriganga River
The Buriganga River ( bn, বুড়িগঙ্গা, ''Buŗigônga'', ) is a river in Bangladesh which flows past the southwest outskirts of the capital city, Dhaka. Its average depth is and its maximum depth is . It ranks among the most polluted rivers in the country. Dhaleshwari River According to R. C. Darus Salam Thana
Darus Salam Thana is a thana, an administrative unit, of Dhaka District, Bangladesh. History During the Bangladesh Liberation war, Bengali intellectuals were killed by Pakistan Army in this area. After the Independence of Bangladesh a memorial was constructed for the intellectuals. The thana itself was created in on 23 August 2008 from areas under Mirpur Thana. The thana is under the jurisdiction of Darussalam Police Station of the Bangladesh Police. They are responsible for law enforcement in the thana. Sher-e-Bangla Nagar
Sher-e-Bangla Nagar ( bn, শেরেবাংলা নগর; lit. ''City of the Tiger of Bengal'') is a neighborhood and a thana of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. It is also known as the 'capitol within the capital' due to it being the home to the National Parliament and Ganabhaban. The area was named after A. K. Fazlul Huq, a renowned statesman and one of the most prominent political figures of Bangladesh who was popularly known as "Sher-e-Bangla" (''Tiger of Bengal''). Mohammadpur Thana
Mohammadpur ( bn, মোহাম্মদপুর) is a thana of Dhaka District in the division of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Although initially Mohammadpur had grown as a residential area, subsequent commercial places have also been developed as well.
