Ada Bojana
Ada Bojana ( cnr-Cyrl, Ада Бојана, ; ) is an island in the Ulcinj, Ulcinj Municipality in Montenegro. The name ''Ada'' means "river island" in Montenegrin language, Montenegrin. The island is created by a river delta of the Buna (Adriatic Sea), Bojana River. It is located on the southernmost tip of Montenegro, with the Bojana River separating it from Pulaj and Velipojë in the Albanian territory. The island is of triangular shape, bordered from two sides by the Bojana River and by the Adriatic Sea from the southwest. It has an area of 4.8 square km. It is a popular Naturist resort, place for nude tourists. Although in the Mediterranean region, Ada's dominant climate is subtropical. It is a popular tourist destination, with a long sandy beach with traditional seafood restaurants. Its main income comes from camping. Buna (Adriatic Sea)
The Buna () river, also known as Bojana ( cnr-Cyrl, Бојана), is a river in Albania and Montenegro which flows into the Adriatic Sea. An outflow of Lake Skadar measured from the source of the lake's longest tributary, the Morača River, Morača, the Morača-Shkodra Lake-Bojana system is long. Name The modern Albanian name of the river is derived from Illyrian language, Illyrian ''Barbanna'' and follows Proto-Albanian language, Albanian phonetic sound rules. History The river appears as the ''Fiume Boiana'' in a 1688 map of the region, published by Vincenzo Coronelli. At the time, the river did not have any tributaries feeding into it. The Hotel Mediteran Ulcinj, located in the coastal town of Ulcinj in Montenegro, is one of the first privatization deals completed by the new nation of Montenegro. The hotel was acquired by in July 2005 through the Commerce Court of Podgorica. The hotel is considered a vital property as part of national economic development. As part of its acquisition of the resort facility, Husein Becovic through his Becovic Management Group, agreed to invest court-stipulated funds, to renovate the property, in order to return it to its status as a popular destination resort on the Adriatic Coast. The Facility had been a resort and hospitality asset of Ulcinj-based hotel-tourist company, Ulcinjska Rivijera. According to the Purchase Agreement, BMG's required to invest no less than 6,150,000.00 Euros in the renovation of the Property, within a three-year period.
