Ad Majorem Sathanas Gloriam
''Ad Majorem Sathanas Gloriam'' is the seventh studio album by Norwegian black metal band Gorgoroth. It was released in Europe on 19 June 2006 by Regain Records and in the US on 25 July 2006 by Candlelight Records. This was the only Gorgoroth album on which all of the lyrics and music were written by Gaahl and King ov Hell, and was the last to feature both members. It also marked the return of drummer Frost and was the last Gorgoroth album that he appeared on. It was nominated for Norway's 2006 Spellemann award in the "Metal" category. It is the first Gorgoroth album with no Norwegian lyrics. In November 2007, ''Ad Majorem Sathanas Gloriam'' was reissued with a slightly different cover and a DVD containing the "Carving a Giant" music video and another video documenting how the album was recorded. Gorgoroth
Gorgoroth is a Norwegian black metal band based in Bergen. It was formed in 1992 by guitarist Infernus, who is the sole original member remaining, and has released nine studio albums. Gorgoroth are a Satanism, Satanic band and have drawn controversy due to some of their concerts, which have featured impaled sheep heads and mock crucifixions. The band is named after the dead plateau of darkness in the land of Mordor from J. R. R. Tolkien's fantasy novel ''The Lord of the Rings''. Herbrand Larsen
Herbrand Larsen (born February 3, 1973) is a Norwegian musician, record producer, mixer and engineer. He is best known for being a member of extreme metal band Enslaved from 2004 to 2016, and hard rock band Audrey Horne from 2002 to 2007. Larsen works primarily with acts in the metal and rock genres, including Immortal, Gorgoroth, Taake, Demonaz, Abbath and Gaahl, but has also collaborated with artists in the folk, ambient and pop genres, such as Wardruna, Lindy-Fay Hella, Michelle Ullestad and Hjerteslag. Kjetil Haraldstad
Kjetil-Vidar Haraldstad (stage name Frost; born 28 June 1973) is a Norwegian drummer in the black metal bands Satyricon and 1349. He was born in Øyer, Oppland. Frost has previously performed with Gorgoroth, Zyklon-B, Gehenna and Keep Of Kalessin. He originally joined Satyricon temporarily to record the demo ''The Forest is My Throne'', later joining the band full-time. He has a degree in Engineering, having taken a course in Computer Science at the University of Oslo. He is regarded as one of the fastest and most proficient drummers in the black metal and extreme metal genres.
