Action Advertiser, originally Action Advertising Co. and now officially known as Action Publications, is a newspaper based out of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin which features only "good news" along with retail, display and classified advertising. All Action products are free and delivered to homes in Fond du Lac, Dodge and Green Lake Counties, respectively. Action Publications newspapers, Action Sunday (Action Sunday West) and Action Advertiser were offered on Sunday and Wednesday. The Fond du Lac Reporter, Action Publication's sister paper, offers a daily news product. Action Publications also has a commercial print division, Action Printing, established in 1973, which is a national printer of publications, manuals, directories and books, as well as other large-scale jobs. Fond du Lac () is a city in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, United States, and its county seat. It is located at the southern end of Lake Winnebago and had a population of 44,678 at the 2020 census. The city forms the core of the Fond du Lac metropolitan statistical area, which includes all of Fond du Lac County and had 104,154 residents in 2020. ''The Reporter'' is a daily newspaper based in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin owned by Gannett. It serves primarily Fond du Lac and northern Dodge County in East Central Wisconsin. History The ''Reporter'' traces its founding to August 22, 1870 when the ''Fond du Lac Commonwealth'', which had been a weekly newspaper since 1856, began daily circulation. However, the first incarnation of the ''Fond du Lac Daily Reporter'' did not start until 1883, when L. A. Lange founded a new newspaper for Fond du Lac to compete with the ''Commonwealth'', publishing Monday through Saturday.
