ActiMates
ActiMates were a short-lived series of interactive toys released by Microsoft Kids in September 1997. The toys are in the form of licensed dolls which can interact with episodes of their respective television series from 1997 to 2000 or on special ActiMates-compatible VHS tapes and computer games. The toys were marketed as educational tools and gave positive affirmations for correct answers from the user. Arthur (TV Series)
''Arthur'' is an animated television series developed by Marc Brown (author), Marc Brown and Kathy Waugh and produced by WGBH-TV, WGBH Boston for PBS. Based on Brown's ''Arthur'' book series, it is set in the fictional American city of Elwood City and revolves around the lives of Arthur Read, an anthropomorphic aardvark, his friends and family, and their daily interactions with each other. Production on the series was first announced in 1995 by WGBH and Montreal-based animation studio Cookie Jar Entertainment, CINAR, and aired its first episode on October 7, 1996 on PTV, later renamed PBS Kids. Microsoft Home is a discontinued line of software applications and personal hardware products published by Microsoft. The Microsoft Home brand was first announced by Bill Gates in a presentation on October 4, 1993. These applications were designed to bring multimedia to Microsoft Windows and Macintosh personal computers. With more than 60 products available under the Microsoft Home brand by 1994, the company's push into the consumer market took off. Microsoft Plus!, an add-on enhancement package for Windows, continued until the Windows XP era. The range of home software catered for many different consumer interests from gaming with Microsoft Arcade and Entertainment Packs to reference titles such as Microsoft Encarta, Bookshelf and Cinemania. Teletubbies
''Teletubbies'' is a British children's television series created by Anne Wood and Andrew Davenport for the BBC. The programme focuses on four differently coloured characters known as the Teletubbies, named after the television screens on their bellies. Recognised throughout popular culture for the uniquely shaped antenna protruding from the head of each character, the Teletubbies communicate through gibberish and were designed to bear resemblance to toddlers. Arthur Timothy Read is a fictional anthropomorphic aardvark created by the author Marc Brown. The main character of the book and television series ''Arthur'', he is in the third grade and lives in the fictional city of Elwood City. Physical appearance Arthur is an anthropomorphic aardvark, who is 8 years old.
