Aceh Abode Party
The Aceh Abode Party ( id, Partai Darul Aceh), formerly the Aceh Regional Party ( id, Partai Daerah Aceh), Aceh Peace Party ( id, Partai Damai Aceh), and the Aceh Sovereignty Party ( id, Partai Daulat Aceh) is a regional political party in Indonesia originally established to accommodate religious figures not associated with the Free Aceh Movement (GAM). It contested the 2009 elections in the province of Aceh under its original name. Its electoral target was 20% or 3 million votes, but it only won 39,706 votes (1.85% of the Aceh vote). Free Aceh Movement
The Free Aceh Movement ( id, Gerakan Aceh Merdeka, GAM; ace, Geurakan Acèh Meurdèka / Gěrakan Aceh Měrdeka) was a separatist group seeking independence for the Aceh region of Sumatra, Indonesia. GAM fought against Indonesian government forces in the Aceh insurgency from 1976 to 2005, during which over 15,000 lives are believed to have been lost. Aceh People's Representative Council
The Aceh House of Representatives (, abbreviated to DPR Aceh or DPRA) is the devolved unicameral legislature of the Indonesian province of Aceh. Unlike other regional legislatures in Indonesia in general, it has unique characteristics according to the 2005 Aceh Government Act c. 11; such as the authority to name itself, the ability to determine the number of members (1¼ times more than ordinary regional legislatures), and the inclusion of Aceh regional parties.
