Accident (2012 Film)
''Accident'' is a 2012 Bengali film directed by Nandita Roy & Shiboprosad Mukherjee. The story of the film deals with road accident and its consequences in Kolkata. The director duo got motivated by Keshtopur road incident in April 2008 where at least 20 people were killed and nearly 40 were injured. Plot synopsis Arko, an aspiring bowler, wants to pursue his career in cricket. However, a torn ligament puts an end to his dreams. He tries his luck in various other jobs, but all in vain. Frustration and depression continue to take a toll on him. Then, suddenly, life starts looking up after the birth of his son, Babai. While Arko stays at home and takes care of Babai, his wife, Riya, goes out to work. Nandita Roy
Nandita Roy (born April 3, 1955) is an Indian filmmaker and screenwriter. She made her directorial debut with the film '' Icche'' (2011) along with her co-director Shiboprosad Mukherjee. The two have also directed ''Accident'', '' Muktodhara'', '' Alik Sukh'', '' Ramdhanu'', '' Bela Seshe'', '' Haami'', '' Praktan'' , '' Posto (film), Konntho, Gotro''. She has been a part of several projects and has worked with many renowned directors. Early life Nandita Roy was born on April 3, 1955 in Mumbai. She attended high school at St. Joseph's Convent High School in the suburb of Vile Parle, and is an economics graduate of Parle College. She began work as a primary schoolteacher in St. Joseph's Convent. She later studied for her postgrad in economics from University of Mumbai, Kalina. She married Nitish Roy in 1977. Nachiketa Chakraborty
Nachiketa Chakraborty, simply known as Nachiketa, is an Indian singer, songwriter, musician, composer and playback singer who is known for his modern Bengali lyrics. He achieved fame in the early 1990s, with the release of his debut album ''Ei Besh Bhalo Achi''. Early life Nachiketa was born in Kolkata at Muktaram Babu Street. His father was Sakha Ranjan Chakravarti. His ancestral roots lie in Chechri Rampur village in Kathalia Upazila of Jhalokati District of Bangladesh. Srijato Bandopadhyay is an Indian poet of the Bengali language. He won the Ananda Puroskar in 2004 for his book ''Udanta Sawb Joker: All Those Flying Jokers''.
