Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan (; born 1951) is an Emirati royal and politician, who currently serves as the minister of tolerance of the United Arab Emirates. Al Nahyan previously served as the minister of culture and the minister of higher education. Early life and education He is the son of Mubarak bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, grandson of Mohammad bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, great-grandson of Khalifa bin Zayed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, and great-great-grandson of Zayed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan. Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works, is his brother. Ministry Of Tolerance And Coexistence (United Arab Emirates)
The Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence (; previously the Ministry of Tolerance from 2016 to 2022) is a government ministry in the United Arab Emirates that is in charge of regulating and maintaining religious tolerance and coexistence between various indigenous and overseas communities in the country. Established in February 2016 in accordance with the National Tolerance Programme, the ministry was the brainchild of Dubai ruler Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum. The Pearl Initiative is a non-profit organization founded in 2010 that focuses on corporate governance, accountability and transparency in the Persian Gulf region. The organization publishes reports, and holds regular events. It holds annual Case Study Competitions across the Gulf Region. The Pearl Initiative has been involved with the Siemens Integrity Initiative, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The University of Balamand (UOB; ) is a private institution, secular in its policies and approach to education. It welcomes faculty, students, and staff from all faiths and national or ethnic origins. The university is located in the northern district of El-Koura, Lebanon. It was founded by the Orthodox Patriarch Ignatius IV of Antioch in 1988.
