Abraham Megerle
Abraham Megerle (9 February 1607 in Wasserburg am Inn – 29 May 1680 in Altötting) was an Austrian composer and organist. He served as Kapellmeister to Paris von Lodron, the Prince-Bishop of Salzburg, from 1640 to 1651. He enjoyed the patronage of Emperor Ferdinand III who made him a member of the nobility in 1652. A highly prolific writer of mainly sacred music, his output exceeded more than 2000 music compositions. Most of his works are now lost. Of particular interest to music scholars is his 1672 autobiography, ''Speculum musico-mortuale'', which is a typical example of the baroque way of viewing music.*Walter Pass. Wasserburg Am Inn
Wasserburg am Inn ( Central Bavarian: ''Wassabuag am Inn'') is a town in Rosenheim district in Upper Bavaria, Germany. The historic centre is a peninsula formed by the meandering river Inn. A composer is a person who writes music. The term is especially used to indicate composers of Classical music, Western classical music, or those who are composers by occupation. Ferdinand III (Ferdinand Ernest; 13 July 1608, in Graz – 2 April 1657, in Vienna) was from 1621 Archduke of Austria, King of Hungary from 1625, King of Croatia and Bohemia from 1627 and Holy Roman Emperor from 1637 until his death in 1657.
