Abraham Han (born September 29, 1984) is an American professional boxer. He also fought in the World Combat League. Personal life Han's siblings are all professional or amateur boxers. Professional career On January 22, 2011, Han beat veteran Orphius Waite by TKO in the second round. This bout was held at the Texas Station in North Las Vegas, Nevada. On April 5, 2014, Han defeated former world title contender Juan Carlos Candelo via second-round TKO. Orthodox Stance
In combat sports such as boxing, an orthodox stance is one in which the boxer places their left foot farther in front of the right foot, thus having their weaker side closer to the opponent. Because it favors the stronger, dominant side (often the right side; see laterality), the orthodox stance is the most common stance in boxing and MMA. It is mostly used by right-handed boxers. Many boxing champions have fought in an orthodox stance. Alternative stances The corresponding designation for a left-handed boxer is southpaw and is generally a mirror image of the orthodox stance. The World Combat League (WCL) was a full contact, team-based kickboxing promotion. It was founded by movie star and martial artist Chuck Norris. Rules The rules are typical of other full contact striking competitions, with some minor variation. Texas Station
Texas Station was a casino hotel in North Las Vegas, Nevada. It was owned and operated by Station Casinos. Texas native Frank Fertitta Jr., the hotel-casino's original owner, chose the Texas theme to appeal to customers from his home state. Fertitta sold the hotel-casino for $95 million to Station Casinos, his former company, prior to its opening on July 12, 1995. It was the largest hotel-casino in North Las Vegas at the time of its opening, with a casino and a 200-room hotel. Texas Station was expanded several times, including a $55 million expansion that began in 1998.
