Bruce Feiler
Bruce Feiler (born October 25, 1964) is an American writer and television personality. He is the author of 15 books, including '' The Council of Dads'', a book that describes how he responded to a diagnosis of a rare cancer by asking a group of men to be present in the lives of his young daughters. The book was the subject of a TED Talk and inspired NBC drama series '' Council of Dads.'' His latest work explores the power of life stories. Drawing on interviews with Americans in all 50 states, he offers strategies for coping with life's unsettling times in his new book, ''Life Is In The Transitions.'' The Abraham Catalogue of Belgian Newspapers is an online database of historical Belgian newspapers that are preserved in libraries and other heritage institutions across Flanders and Brussels. Contents Abraham catalogues the location and ownership of Belgian national, regional, and local newspapers kept in more than one hundred libraries and heritage institutions. So far, over 11,000 newspaper titles published after 1800 are inventoried in the catalogue. The database shows the most important specifications of each newspaper, such as title, date, and place of publication. Keywords indicate the type of newspaper (with a focus on e.g. trade, sports, or advertising) or the social community at which the newspaper was aimed (e.g. catholic, liberal, or socialist community). Abraham or Fall and Redemption of Mary is a play in Latin written by Hrotsvit of Grandersheim (–973). The play follows a young orphan, Mary, who is persuaded by her uncle Abraham, a hermit, and his companion, Effrem, to lead a life of complete chastity and devotion to God. When Mary submits to temptation and loses her virginity, she flees her religious life to become a prostitute. Years later, when Abraham comes to her disguised as a lover, Mary returns to her life of devotion and submits to a strict regimen of penance.
